Outdoor livable space is a popular trend. You can set up an outdoor seating area, outdoor kitchen or outdoor dining space. This allows you to entertain guests outside or host a larger party than what your home can hold. This trend inspired my wife and I to build our own outdoor livable space. However, one of the biggest decisions we faced was what the base for our space would be. We could use concrete, lay pavers or construct a deck. After doing a lot of research, we decided on a deck. It was a challenging decision, but we are pleased with the outcome. In fact, we are so happy we decided to start this blog and help educate other people on decks and livable spaces. Learn the benefits, learn the downside, learn how to care for your and learn what kinds of wood are best for an outdoor deck.
When my wife and I bought our home, we knew it was going to be a challenge to fix up. A lot of things we knew we could do over time, such as remodel the kitchen and the bathrooms, or repaint the rooms in the house. Other things we wanted to replace after we moved in because we would see immediately benefits. One of those was getting new replacement vinyl windows in Utah. The windows that were on the home at the time were not very good. They looked to be the original windows that were built with the home many years ago. We knew that if we replaced, which we were going to do sooner or later, we would see the benefits on our heating and cooling bills immediately. Thankfully we were able to get a good deal with a company that installed replacement vinyl windows in Utah. They had a sale going on at the time which was simply too good of a deal to pass up. We had a contractor come out to our home to take measurements and come up with a final estimate on what it would cost. We immediately scheduled the installation, and before we knew it we had new windows on our home.Share
